Out of curiosity, as Executive Director of the Museum of the Bourgeois, whom would you have chosen for CIA Director?

15 stood up to this blatant extended power-grab by the Pentagon:
Bayh (D-IN)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dayton (D-MN)
Dodd (D-CT)
Dorgan (D-ND)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Harkin (D-IA)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Obama (D-IL)
Wyden (D-OR)
Specter (R-PA)
(I'm still flabbergasted that Arlen Specter voted Nay!)

But below look at those NOT VOTING! Why would a Senator MISS THIS VOTE?!?

Not Voting - 7
Boxer (D-CA)
Conrad (D-ND)
Dole (R-NC)
Inouye (D-HI)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Salazar (D-CO)
Thune (R-SD
I'm especially surprised that Barbara Boxer didn't vote. OK so it wouldn't have changed the outcome, but jeebus - at least give the appearance, ya know?
So who would make a good CIA director? Damn good question, anonymous! The very best candidate I can think of is none other than MoB's own HH!!!!!

Let me think...I wonder what Dan Quayle is up to these days. Certainly a buffoonish patsy to provide the administration comic relief as the country continues to circle the drain would be in the same character as good ole Okie boy Heckuvajobbrownie. I bet Little Boots wouldn't even have to spring for a Medal of Freedom on his way out either. about another criminal. I'll bet old Ollie North has seasoned enough for a recall to service.

A speculator might be a creative shot in the arm for the moribund agency. Let's get a little venture capital involved and make a run at privatizing the Agency with Michael Millken.

On a more serious note, perhaps polling the VIPs to come up with a suggestion, you know those disaffected Veteran Intelligence Professionals whose perspective appears to allow them to view the reality of the Emperor's rainment.

Throwing down the gauntlet seems cavalierly simple. In my humble opinion, it is a seriously simple and most patriotic responsibility to decry the the elevation of the Albert Speer of this administration's deconstruction of any remaining constitutional privacy right. But then again, as a passionate anti-fascist, I could be somewhat biased.
