Anger Before Dawn
Today is Tuesday, 13 March 2007.
Marine General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has disgraced himself and should resign.
He couldn’t be bothered with the atrocities committed against American veterans at Walter Reed Hospital and in VA hospitals.
But, “I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts.”
According to his remarks in yesterday’s Chicago Tribune, he believes homosexuals in the military should be given, as it were, the boot.
And, according to a CNN report yesterday, the military believes that 1 in 3 of those who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan require treatment for mental or social adjustment problems.
Today’s column is written at 7:12 AM, and either it’s too early, or I’m too infuriated, to think of a good “kicker” to end this column.
Submissions are invited.

I don't have a "kicker" for you, but I will add my voice to your comments. My blood pressure climbed a few more points when I voted in the AOL poll asking if we agreed with the General, and found that 64% of respondents said they did.
Ignorance and injustice too often go hand in hand. Yes, it is infuriating.
You have taken a lot of what the main stream media puts out as complete truth when in many cases it is not. But beyond that, when did it become a sin in America to have a point of view? Don't we still have a right to free speech? As a professional yourself you should know that you can have your own point of view and still follow the regulations of your own profession. I disagree with what most of the left believes and supports but I do not begrudge them the right to express it. It is that exchange of ideas and points of view that has made America great and will continue to spur our country on to be better. When we get to the point where we can’t share ideas for fear of offending someone we will have begun our decline. Just my two cents worth, thanks and have a great day.
