Lynch the Bitch!
Today is 1 March 2007.
In Largo, Florida, a town near Tampa, 5 out of 7 city commissioners hate the bitch.
[For the record, while I abhor the bigot slur “bitch”, it seems necessary and appropriate in this context.]
This is the only conclusion to which I can come, when I learn, in The New York Times of this date, that the City Commission of Largo has voted, 5 to 2, to initiate the process of terminating City Manager Steven B. Stanton, who has served without their complaint for 14 years.
His crime: Mr. Stanton is in the process of becoming a bitch.
He is in the process of having sex-change surgery.
The commissioner who introduced the resolution for termination, Mary Black, member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, said, “I do not feel he has the integrity, nor the trust, nor the respect, nor the confidence to continue as the city manager”, according to AP.
Of course, Mr. Stanton had the integrity, trust, respect, and confidence before he decided to become a bitch.
Another city commissioner, Andy Guyette, said, “I’d second-guess every decision he made. There was a lot of hiring and promoting and firing and every one of them could have been influenced by this whole scenario”.
Yes, we all know bitches favour their own.

Why is it that you chose to go the verbally-provacative route and use the phrase "lynch the bitch?" You could have made your point without using it. Even in your text, you state you abhor that term, however, you use it repeatedly in the text. Yes, I suppose using such a provacative phrase in your title serves to draw the reader in, but using it repeatedly wore thin, especially because no one involved in the incident actually used that phrase or even the single word "bitch" themselves.

Sounds like the majority of the Largo city council can't even summon up a pejorative term the transgendered allowing for the eventual societal coming to grips with the underlying social issues, such is the level of supposed perversion.
Don't get me started on whether banning racial epithets has a salutary effect on healing the fundamental issues of racism. Let me postulate (whether in belief or not) that such a ban is akin to putting a bandage on a melanoma.
