Yesterday died Don Herbert, "Mr. Wizard", who gave a generation of us science geeks/nerds the validation that it wasn't a bad thing to be same.

What better remembrance than Maria Callas singing the most beautiful Puccini aria? This is a fine tribute. I'm sure Mr. Wizard, and those of us who remember him, are very pleased.
Singing that makes time palpable. A living melody in the foliage of its accompaniment that could be held your palm. A soul that overfills the instrument. Intimate and private.
