In Fondest Memory: Robert Rauschenberg

Today is Wednesday, 14 May 2008.

Some deaths take longer to reconcile ourselves to than others. Such for me is the passing of the great artist Robert Rauschenberg on Monday evening last.

Here is his obituary from The New York Times:

A selection of works is available on the site “artnet”, and many others:

If you’ve never taken the opportunity to delve into his work, please do so. He had one of the richest, most lyrical imaginations I’ve ever encountered.
