Carnegie Hall
Today is Tuesday, 5 May 2009.
On this date in 1891, Carnegie Hall formally opened with a concert conducted by P.I. Tchaikovsky.
In the Eighties, I had the honour of producing a benefit concert there. The honoree was Marian Anderson, and the Modern Jazz Quartet performed.

When four dogs live with one, getting everyone to bed for the night can be quite a chore. "No snacks?" "I need to go out again." "You told that story last week." "Could you sing the lullaby in Chinese tonight?" I thought I had posted this column last night, but obviously was distracted. Sorry. Great tune anywho.
