Imagine: if between 1970 and 2006, 1/3rd of all businesses on the planet had gone bankrupt. Imagine the panic that would have ensued as the catastrophe became apparent.
According to the third Global Biodiversity Outlook (GBO-3), between 1970 and 2006, the biodiversity of vertebrates on this planet decreased by about 1/3rd.
Will this catastrophe lead every news show any day soon? Dream on.
Imagine: if 1/3rd of all the organs in your body stopped working. This is what is happening to the world’s ecosystems.
Our way of life – call it industrialism, capitalism, whatever – is exterminating our planet.
Our legacy to the next generations.
