Republican Crimes Against Iraqi Humanity
Today is Tuesday, 3 August 2010.
When the Bush-Cheney Republican conquest of Iraq began, under the lie that the Ba-athist regime possessed weapons of mass destruction, Baghdad averaged 16-24 hours of electricity a day. Baghdad currently averages about 5 hours a day.
At the beginning of the invasion, Iraq’s generating systems and power grid had been weakened by more than a decade of sanctions; the USA/USE bombing campaign , assisted by the looting and general social disorder the conquest created, drove a fragile system over the edge. The Bush-Cheney Republican regime had not bothered to allocate sufficient resources to rebuild Iraqi political and civil society, so the money which has been spent on reconstructing the electrical infrastructure has been largely wasted, or ineffective half-measures. Combine this with a predatory explosion of imports of air conditioners and other power-sucking devices, and… Well, as Donald Rumsfeld was thinking, when he said, “Stuff happens”: Shit happens, and when it comes to those Iraqi shits, we don’t give a shit.
After the WMD lies had been exposed, the Bush-Cheney Republican regime claimed the conquest was about “building democracy and freedom”. Is it “democracy” when one may vote only on whether to be gang raped and/or murdered by Group A, Group B, or Group C? Is it “freedom” when one is free only to choose one’s brand of window unit? Well, as they say on Wall Street: “F*** ‘em if they can’t take a joke”.
Iraqis live today under terror and privation as bad or worse as when the Ba-athist dictatorship ruled. Are the Teabaggers revolting because the crimes of the Republican warlords will end up increasing the USA/USE national debt by some $3 trillion for this predictable and shameful result?
No. The Teabaggers and their ilk have not, at long last, the decency to confess and atone for the evil that their previous support of Republican Party crimes has wrought.

I read that the Anti-Defamation League has joined the opposition to the Islamic center near Ground Zero. The ADL foolishly plays with fire. The same bigot mentality which denies the existence of individual Muslims, but recognizes only THE Muslim, which it hates, also hates THE Jew. Shame on the ADL for joining the goosestepping.
