More F. Graham

Today remains Tuesday, 24 August 2010.

I’m not suggesting that there is a single coordinated conspiracy against Islam in this country. However, the same effect is achieved, since this country contains a critical mass of racists and religious bigots. Thus, every time the bell is rung (“Socialized!” “Birth certificate!” “Ground Zero mosque!”), racists and religious bigots reliably froth at the mouth.

Herewith, more of an F. Graham on Islam round-up.

"I love the people of Islam but their religion, I do not agree with their religion at all. And if you look at what the religion does just to women, women alone, it is just horrid. And so yes, I speak out for women. I speak out for people that live under Islam, that are enslaved by Islam and I want them to know that they can be free.”

"I think the president's problem is that he was born a Muslim, his father was a Muslim. The seed of Islam is passed through the father like the seed of Judaism is passed through the mother. He was born a Muslim, his father gave him an Islamic name."

"I want them to know that they don't have to die in a car bomb, don't have to die in some kind of holy war to be accepted by God. But it's through faith in Jesus Christ and Christ alone."

"True Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they've committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries.”

Surely Graham knows his Bible.

"But if the thing is true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman, then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel to play the harlot in her father’s house. So you shall put away the evil from among you." (Deuteronomy 22.20-21)

(It would seem "true Christianity" can't be practiced in this country either.)

“They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.” (II Chronicles 15:12-13)

"Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey." (I Samuel 15:2-3)

Many “Christians”, when asked to explain why their “deity” sanctioned mass murder in passages such as this, retreat to, “That part of the Old Testament doesn’t apply anymore”. And how do they know? “God told me”. So, why didn’t deity clearly tell us all? Many of these “Christians” are “cafeteria Christians”, who claim to believe that the entire Bible is divinely inspired, eternally true, and an infallible rule, and yet, blithely consider many passages inconvenient to them to be “inoperative”.

Other “Christians” justify such passages by claiming, “God can do anything He wants. When he decrees mass murder, it is right and holy”.

As to F. Graham’s phallus worship. While this sort of thing isn’t usually discussed in “polite” society, it’s standard analysis in comparative religion, etc. Very likely this form of expressing male supremacist bigotry dates to the early days of agriculturalization. The male is the active principle, the farmer who plants the seed; the female is the earth, the passive receptacle who accepts it. Therefore, the male is superior to the female (who, revealing her inherent weakness, was seduced by the serpent who was Satan, becoming his bitch and ho, and through whom, therefore, sin entered the world), who is divinely ordained to be subject to male domination and orders.
