World Refugee Day III
Riddle: How many Republican Presidents, Senators, and Representatives, all in control of the Executive and Legislative branches, does it take to accomplish something in Sudan?

they never hear what I say, and I never
say what they want to hear."

Conversely, how many Democratic Presidents, Senators, and Representatives would it take?
Inversely, how many humanistic anarcho-socialists would it take?
Bee-sides, it's the Repuglicons whoo are in power, and therefore have the responsibility to accomplish, ja?
Nope, they just have the appropriations power to fund relief, peace keeping, delinquent United Nations payments; the executive will to conduct humane foreign policy, attempt restoration within the fold of international cooperation without worrying that some group of collective wingnuts may consider that we're seeking a "permission slip;" for starters. If they can't find the skills or value systems within themselves to attempt the job, then perhaps calling on those derided groups to lend their expertise in a non-partisan effort to reliefe suffering just might help to restore some international credibility to a very maligned, once proud flag. On the other hand, we could just continue to demand an international balls measuring competition with the winner-steal-all.
