Fightin' and Fibbin'

Today is Saturday, 1 November 2008.

McCain revels in smirkingly proclaiming, “I’ve been fighting for this country since I was 17”.

McCain lies again: he didn’t see combat until he was 30. The legendary combat career of Fightin’ John lasted about 3 months.

At 17, McCain was beginning a career at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he majored, at taxpayer expense, in misconduct so serious and sustained that he earned demerits sufficient for dismissal. The fact that McCain was the son and grandson of four-star admirals saved him: demerits were corruptly and arbitrarily erased, and he survived, graduating 5th in his class [CORRECTION: graduating fifth from the bottom of his class].

By lying about his fighting record, McCain has dishonoured the uniform he wore.

Thanks for the correction.

This is why one should be particularly careful in editing one's writing when one is hoppin' mad.

So, you are a hot head, huh? That needs to be a warning to friends, acquaintances, and relatives to not ride in a vehicle with you driving while you are "hoppin' mad."

Dear Defensive Driver.

That was one 'Olympian Leap' up the ladder of inference.

the logic in your statement in symbolic terms...

If a=b

I am sure "Defensive Driver" appreciates your arrogance (not).
