V-E Day in 1945: Victory in Europe. The evil empires of the USA/USE, USSR, and UK defeat the far-more-evil empire of Nazi Germany. Unfortunately, the victors don’t draw the moral, “Crime doesn’t pay”, but the conclusion, “Violence is good”.
