Paladino’s defense is that he merely forwarded “funny” e-mails, also including ones designed to brighten the hearts of Klansmen everywhere, without ever looking at them. Who would believe such a lie from a ten-year-old?

The truth is: the vast majority of Republicans who voted in the New York primary determined that their inchoate anger against “politicians” far outweighed the immorality of a candidate who believes that violence against women is comedy, not crime.

I’m not surprised, just disgusted, outraged, and ashamed for them.
