Such has always been the American white-right position on the Panama Canal.  No “Thou shalt not steal” crap from a “girly God” for them, thank you very much.

General Manuel Noriega, who became military dictator of Panama in 1983, was also an “asset” of CIA since the late 1950s, and was paid right handsomely for his treason.  Then he became increasingly too big for his britches, forgetting who his Daddy was.

George H. W. “Big W” Bush determined to put an end to this nonsense, and, on this date in 1989, invaded Panama, under the code name “Operation Just Cause”.  (The Museum of the Bourgeois prefers “Operation Just Because”.)

Noriega was swiftly driven from office, a traditionally-pliable leadership installed, and the Re-Conquest was complete.
