Blood of Spain, Revised
Today is Thursday, 29 March 2007.
For all intents and purposes, the ‘conflict’ known as “The Spanish Civil War” ended on this day in 1939. It was, of course, far more than that.
Through the blood of Spain, the Fascist dictators of Germany and Italy, through their support of and armed intervention on behalf of, the Fascist Francoist regime, experimented with the military tactics and strategies which would, within the year, begin to drown Europe in blood.
"Bring flowers to the rebels failed".
