In Memory: Rodger McFarlane
Today is Tuesday, 19 May 2009.
It is with great sorrow that The Museum of the Bourgeois memorializes the death of Rodger McFarlane, first executive director of Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and former executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Rodger committed suicide last Friday in New Mexico, after a struggle with heart problems and pain resulting from a broken back. He was 54.
I was privileged to work with Rodger in New York City. Rodger was one of the finest organizers and nonprofit executives I’ve known.
I extend my condolences to Rodger’s family and friends.
