Today is Thursday, 31 January 2013.
As I've noted many times, whatever their differences on domestic policy, many Republicans and Democrats become indistinguishable on foreign policy.
Consider the case of ex-CIA officer John C. Kiriakou. He was just sentenced to 30 months in Federal prison for the "crime" of disclosing the name of a covert officer who was conducting torture (waterboarding).

This type of judicial persecution is appropriate only under dictatorships.
