A Presidential Pardon
Today is Friday, 28 December 2012.
Congratulations to my Friend and her husband, married
32 years ago today.

On 16 March 1968, American troops under the direct command
of Lt. William L. Calley, Jr. conducted the My Lai Massacre, exterminating more
than 500 Vietnamese civilians. Calley
was court-martialed and sentenced to life at hard labor in 1971.
Calley “served” his appeal time under house arrest in
an apartment at Fort Benning, rather than in prison. He received a limited Presidential Pardon in
1974. He then vanished into obscurity,
employed by his father-in-law at his jewelry shop in Columbus, Georgia.
Please ponder this, as I will soon make a proposal
concerning a Presidential Pardon.
